Radiohead’s “All I Need” video

I just discovered Radiohead released their new video for “All I Need” off In Rainbows in conjunction with MTV’s EXIT (End Exploitation and Trafficking) campaign. While I still can’t wrap my head around the fact that one of the most groundbreaking musical acts of my lifetime (pay-what-you-want on a massive scale, anyone?) has yet to get the coverage or radio play stateside they deserve, it is truly inspiring to see a group so popular to not decide to just give up and sit on their success but instead continue to recognize the tremendous potential they have to make the world a better place and dedicate themselves to that very purpose. Imagine the world we’d live in if the airwaves and TV broadcasts were filled with calls to action and social justice awareness like this:

Winning Missouri for Barack

It feels incredible to be a part of something bigger than yourself, especially when you can see the results of your efforts take shape half a continent away.

We lost the New Hampshire primary after giving everything we had, and Barack gave everything he had right back at us. The now famous Yes We Can speech was such a huge turning point for us, standing behind him in our high school gym, as it became clear that his dedication to us extended beyond our disappointing primary, and our indebtedness to him as a result meant that we could not rest until it was repaid.

So when only weeks later an opportunity arose for us to go and speak to a group of College Democrats in St. Louis, Missouri in the final days leading up to Super Tuesday, we jumped in with both feet. Keep reading »
